The Nathan Billmeyer Memorial Scholarship Program
The Nathan Billmeyer Memorial Scholarship Program was established to honor the memory of Nathan and to continue his legacy by supporting the education of deserving students. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to students who demonstrate a commitment to sports, fitness, and the values of perseverance, discipline, and teamwork that Nathan embodied. Nathan was an accomplished triathlete and the proud father of a VAST swimmer. He loved to encourage and cheer on his son and his teammates.
The scholarship is open to graduating seniors on the Verona Area Swim Team (VAST) who are pursuing higher education. By helping students achieve their academic and career goals, this program seeks to create lasting impact on both the recipients and the broader community, ensuring that Nathan’s spirit continues to inspire future generations.
AWARD
The selected recipient will receive a $500 award for undergraduate study.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Applicants must be a current member of VAST.
- Applicants must be eligible for admission to an accredited technical school or college where the student will pursue courses toward an associate or bachelors degree.
- Recipient will be selected based on their application to the committee.
- Financial need is not considered.
